Biden told staffers that he was in the race to the end

Why shouldn’t democrats care about Biden? Rep. Golden, a Democrat, believes that Trump is in the Oval Office

Democratic strategists have pointed out that the incumbent Democrats in key Senate contests have been in higher ratings in polls than the president. House Democrats in many swing districts at least for now appear to be seeing the same dynamic, but more calls could come from lawmakers if dramatic changes in internal and public polls emerge in the next few days.

Voters are going to punish Democrats in the fall for covering up and lying about the health of the president.

“The cowards in the Democratic caucus have spent every day after the debate in witness protection, too afraid to say what they’re all thinking,” said Jack Pandol, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

The House GOP’s campaign arm was quick to criticize most Democrats for keeping their opinions about Biden mostly to themselves, or in background quotes to journalists.

On Tuesday, one of the most vulnerable House Democrats, Maine Rep. Golden, wrote an op-ed saying he believed that Trump would win in a few years. He said that democrats didn’t think democracy would be in danger if Trump was in the Oval Office.

It will have implications for decades to come, if he makes a decision like that, as it impacts who will serve in the White House, Senate, and House in the next four years.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas,, became the first congressional Democrat to call for President Biden to withdraw from his reelection bid, issuing a statement saying that Biden had failed to reassure voters in last week’s presidential debate and was trailing his Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

After last week’s terrible debate, Biden told his campaign staffers that he would stay in the race and try to appease Democrats who wanted him to step down.

Asked about Doggett’s call, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that he was entitled to his opinion. She said that it was a big-tent party. A request for a comment from the campaign was not responded to.

Jean-Pierre said Biden spoke with Pelosi on Wednesday, along with Schumer, Jeffries, Clyburn, and Coons.

Nancy Pelosi: A Cold Night at the White House and the President’s Prerogative Role in the Campaign for Biden’s 2020 Nomination

Most House Democrats were confused as to how to respond to the poor performance by the president, but did not state that he needed to step aside. A CNN poll shows that most voters think Democrats have a better chance in the election with another nominee and there are signs that Democrats are willing to break with the White House.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and South Carolina’s Jim Clyburn, who helped Biden get the 2020 nomination, were among the congressional Democrats who took to the air to defend Biden.

But on Tuesday, Pelosi’s tone appeared to shift, and she opened the door to other Democrats to raise concerns about the president’s ability to continue.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, is this an episode – or is this a condition?” Pelosi said in an interview on MSNBC. “When people ask that question, it’s completely legitimate — of both candidates.”

The press secretary for the White House said that the question was legitimate and that Pelosi had a cold and a bad night.

“I think his four years are, you know, one of the great presidencies of our lifetime. He has to be honest with himself. He will have to make a decision about this.

Speaker Speaker: ‘I’m in this race to end,’ Biden tells campaign staffers at an all-staff meeting after the convention

A source who was at the meeting said that House Democratic leaders were holding a call on Wednesday evening to discuss their options after Biden’s poor performance.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the person said Biden and Harris joined a campaign all-staff meeting.

Harris told staff that they would not back down if Biden withdraws from the race. The source said that they would follow the president’s lead.

But with the fate of Congress also up in the air, congressional Democrats appear to be nervous at the prospect of the president remaining on the ticket.

Democrats are worried that Biden will decline and lose the election after the convention, a House Democrat told NPR.

The Democrats in the House are split between supporters of Biden and those that want him to drop out of the race.

Even Biden’s supporters, this member said, were upset at campaign advisers who, in their view, put Biden in that position at the debate — and urged a campaign shakeup.

The member said that people who want Biden to withdraw don’t think it’s too risky because the stakes are too high.

The member said that if that happened the GOP would go to court to block us from replacing him. It gets harder after the convention.”

But the lawmaker acknowledged that replacing Biden would be difficult. A person with clear name recognition from fellow Democrats would be a challenge.

The lawmaker said that some people want to go with the devil rather than the other way around.

White House Press Secretary Jeff Zients and the “Fake News” About Biden’s White House Campaign in Wisconsin and Washington on July 4th

Separately, White House chief of staff Jeff Zients held an all-staff call with White House staffers. He also acknowledged the tough times, and said it was important to focus on their work and support each other, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.

The White House blamed it on a cold and a bad night. Biden told donors that a punishing travel schedule was to blame. He had gone to Europe twice in two weeks in June, and also spent time at a Los Angeles fundraiser.

The public will be given a glimpse into whether the president is able to move past the debate performance this week with a steady stream of events.

He plans to celebrate the Fourth of July with service members and their family on the National Mall. On Friday, he will campaign in Wisconsin and give an interview to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. And next week, he hosts NATO leaders in Washington, where he will give a solo press conference.
