Alexandrov Gershkovich, a reporter from the Wall Street Journal who was arrested by the Russian security services on espionage charges, has been working for The Journal in Moscow since January 2022. Gershkovich has also previously reported in Russia for Agence France-Presse and for The Moscow Times. He has pleaded not guilty to espionage charges.
