A 25-year-old US bank employee named Connor Sturgeon opened fire at the bank in Louisville, killing five people and injuring eight others before being shot dead by police on Monday. He had bought the AR-15 rifle used for the attack legally, authorities said. The gunman was identified as an employee of Old National Bank.
