A woman in US’ New York has become the world’s first to receive a genetically modified pig’s kidney. Towana Looney was referred to the hospital last month after she developed kidney failure and was on waitlist for a kidney transplant. Towana is off of dialysis and her doctors said that she is in good health.

The Deputy Head of the region’s military administration has said that a hospital in Ukraine is on the verge of removing patients after losing water supply due to the Russian missile barrage. He added that the Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital was about to move patients undergoing dialysis treatment, which requires an uninterrupted water supply.
