United Auto Workers (UAW) has announced a strike against General Motor (GM) and Ford on Tuesday. The union is looking to add two additional assembly plants to its strike target, which includes GM’s Lansing-Delta plant and Ford’s Chicago Assembly Plant. The strike is being conducted after the companies failed to reach a contract agreement.
