Hawaii’s Governor Josh Green has said that the state should buy land in Lahaina to build workforce housing and a memorial for those who died in the Maui wildfire. “It’s time for us to get this right,” he added. Wildfires have killed 17 people in Hawaii and burned over 1.5 lakh acres of land.
