Iranian authorities have announced the execution of Mohsen Shekari, a protester accused of “waging war against God” and “spreading corruption on Earth”. He was sentenced to death earlier this month, state media reported. Shekari’s lawyer had appealed against the death sentence but an appeal failed before his execution, Mizan news agency said.
