The US has said that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China is preparing to unite Taiwan with the country by force if necessary by Beijing. A senior Defence Department official added that those were demonstrated in certain respects during their response to then-Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, to President Tsai’s transit of the US.
