Researchers have successfully transplanted a pig’s liver into a clinically dead patient for the first time in the US. They plan to repeat the procedure in another clinically dead person later this year and will remove the person’s existing liver. The longest documented case of a pig-kidney transplant was a pig-kidney transplant.
