A new kind of drug-resistant bacteria known as Drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (DEA) is behind an outbreak of rare eye infections in the US, researchers said. The bacteria has never been associated with eye infection, they added. This type of drug-resistant Pseudomonas has not been associated with eye infections before, the researchers further said.
