Mexico’s first female president and a Georgia cancer patients struggle with Medicaid
Claudia Sheinbaum, a former Mexico City mayor, was elected the country’s first female president on Sunday. Sheinbaum defeated Xchitl Glvez of the opposition Morena party. The 57-year-old had been an environmental minister when she was elected Mayor of Mexico City in 2014. Sheinbaum has been widely seen as her political mentor.
